Check the transmission linkage cable that runs from the steering column under the dash to the trans under the car. make sure that the cable is not damaged and that all connections are tight.

You have a 4r70w transmission and more than likely a forward drum failure has occurred, seeing as reverse still works fine and no forward engagement. This is not an electrical problem, it is a hard part failure and the transmission will need to be disassembled to repair it. Forward drum failures are one of the more common failures in these transmissions. 4r70w no forward gears only reverse help needed Ford Truck Enthusiasts...
Sounds like a shift selector lever linkage problem or the transmission itself. Only way to tell is get it to a garage. Linkage problem not too expensive, transmission another story.
Yes. You need the ecu that came with that engine. Did you switch intakes? The f 150 4.6 has a taller intake and I believe the stroke is different. I would switch the throttle position sensor too.
Probably. There may be a solenoid not working which is keeping the transmission from engaging the forward gear train but for it not to work at all is unusual.
i had this problem with my 1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo with the brake lights it kept popping fuses right after the ignition was turned on try putting a higher amp fuse in place of the old one that keeps blowing then check for shorts to the starter and check grounds and wires and also the transmission issue check the fluid and then if the fluid is fine change the transmission filter the filter may have not gotten replaced when the transmission was rebuilt and may be clogged or dirty
