Pumping the gas pedal on your car doesn't do anything except make your foot tired. You have two possible problems. First the throttle body is dirty and need a good cleaning, use brake clean and a toothbrush. Spray down the mass air flow sensor also. It will take a minute or so to start after the cleaning. Second would be the check ball in the fuel pump is stuck, letting the fuel drain back down to the tank. To fix this you have to remove the tank and replace the pump/sending unit. To check this use a pressure gauge and get the pressure up. Watch the gauge and see if it drops quickly. Or you can cycle the key on and off 3 or 4 times. If it starts quicker, then the check valve is bad.
Make sure the electric fan is working I have a simple fix for that on U Tube. Most of these are caused by the sensor and Then the Ignition will also cause this problem These cares are very Hi Tech but simple to do easy fixes on them.
You will have to replace the fuel sending unit in order to repair this problem it is a tipical trate for the GM sending unit/fuel pump assy. The unit can be pricey and it is located in the fuel tank.
This is a problem with chevy vehicles that have the system theft light. after a couple of years of using the key, the lock tumblers inside the ignition switch tend to wear out and so causing the system to think it's being stolen. Now you have to put the key in and turn the ignition to the on position, without cranking the car and leave it for 10 minutes until the theft light goes out. Very annoying especially if you're in a hurry. The dealer cost to repair the ignition switch goes for about $600-$800. that includes re-teaching the key.
this problem is caused by a defective gas tank sending unit, the gas tank must be removed and the fuel level sending unit replaced. and yes I am sorry but it is very expensive to fix.
Check all fuses and relays. As far as the gas gauge, you may need a new fuel pump, fuel pump relay, or the float on the fuel pump is loose or came off from ear and tear. The mirrors: check the fuses; also, check, or have the button panel in the door checked to ensure the connection are secure. May need a new switch for the mirrors. I am not familiar with this vehicle; but this is what I suggest doing to solve the issues.
