There will always be movement in the front drive shaft like the other solution states it is backlash between the pinion and the ring gear in the front differential. I always check mine at the front of the driveshaft where it joins the front differential by shaking it up and down to check for the pinion bearing looseness, as long as there is no up and down movement here, you should be good.
The front differential on those trucks are under built . have the backlash checked for an excessive amount
