How do i change my sideview mirror on my 01 neon?

REMOVE SIDE COVER MAYBE DOOR PANNEL CAUSE THE POWER WIRE WILL BE HELD ON THE IN SIDE SHOULD BE 3 10 MM BOLTS GOOD LUCK WITH MOROR. I THING IT IS ASSEMBLY

If you want to look more nicer, and looks like nothing happen, replace the whole thing. ok

Sounds like you have a short somewhere in the seat wiring. Check wiring under the seat for shorts.

Try either an open end wrench or 1/4" drive socket, possibly 10 mm or 12 mm ( metric ) . Forget using needlenose pliers. Hope this helps

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

inside the car u remove the plastic behind mirror assembly to acess bolts some cars require removing door panel 2 but most likey u can just remove the triangular plastic piece with panel on door

1. Remove the front door trim panel (23942) ; refer to Section 501-05 .
   • Peel back the watershield.

1. Remove the rear view mirror mounting hole cover (17K709).

1. Disconnect the power mirror electrical connector.

1. Remove the outside rear view mirror (17682).
   1. Remove the screws.
   1. Remove the outside rear view mirror.

I researched the maintenance manual. The fuse you need to replace is fuse 20 in the under dash fuse box. It controls side windows, washer motor, rear view dim function, and possible seat memory. There are a couple that link to the mirrors, but this is the one for this problem.

TAKE OFF THE COVER OF THE LIGHT WITH SOMETHING POINTY, THAT WILL EXPOSE THE BULB
