Question about 2008 BMW 3 Series
The bonnet release mechanism in car will not allow bonnett to open, have stripped lever mechanism and reassembled ,still no good.
Have removed both front radiator grills to expose cable at front of car, where adjuster is situated on cable ,have exposed inner cable and tried to move, with little success, however the right hand side as you face the bonnett is free, leaving the left handside stuck firm ,at the moment i am not sure which way to procceed ,.I have even considered a can opener . Perhaps you can help me out ,as i am convinced there has to be a simpler way. your sinceerly happy motorist. the year of car is 1999
The cable is routed from the lever to the drivers side fender where there is a box mechanism. There, 2 cables are pulled by the release cable and each runs to a latch on the corners. It sounds like you only released one of the latches. Trace back to the box where the cable splits.
