Here's the log of my repair.
8.03.2009
Check engine light came on, code read; Radiator Cooling fan defective.
Driver side fan(keeps radiator cool, other side cools A/C) blew fuse,
Replaced fuse and it blew again quick. 2-25 amp fuses and 2 relays.
1 per side.

Replace entire shroud with 2 new fans, 14" heavy duty cooling.
Confirmed VIN with GM DEALER.

O'REILLY'S Auto parts $130.00

Had to remove both motor mounts, front lower plastic air damp, upper
radiator hose,
2-10mm bolts hold cooling fan with 2 rubber mounted upper mounts.

Put it altogether and both fans are spinning and no "check engine" light.
Returned relays to O'Reilly's for a refund.

Why the cooling system fan on my yaris 2012 stop working?

Hi. Unfortunately there isn't just one cause for your cooling fan to stop working. Your fan is a variable speed unit. It is there to cool both your engine and your air condenser. Have you checked for blown fuses? Does the fan come on either while the A/C is on and Engine Running? You could use a 12V test light to test for power and ground at the fan but a scan tool will be needed to run functional tests.

I have a 1978 Toyota Hiace that the cooling fan has stopped working in. Any suggestions?

Hi Paul,If you can unplug the fan connector, and use jumper wires from the battery, the fan should spin. if not,it's the fan that's faulty.if it spins w/12 volts applied, trace the wiring. Best O' Luck

98 Camero overheats when driving slow or stop, ok

You need to get the cooling fan checked,it may need a temperature sensor, fan relay or the fan motor may be burnt out.You can check the fan by running your own power and ground to the plug that comes out of the fan motor, unplug it and put the ground to the black wire and positive power to the other one,if it works then the next step would be to check the fan relay. The most common problem if the fan doesn't work but can be made to work with jumper wires is the temperature sensor, you can check it by unplugging it and jumping the wires in the plug.If the rad fans work then you are down to either the water pump or a plugged radiator,a rad shop should be able to narrow it down for you.

I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty. The radiator cooling fan stopped working and the car almost overheated. I replaced the relay with the new style with the cooling pins and the fan now comes on, though...

no but there are a couple of cooling fan switches that could be causing your problem both are mounted on the motor one near the thermostat housing the other will be in the block one near the thermostat usually controls the fans.

Air won't cool when the car is stopped on a 2004 chevy cavalier. car temp is normal

make sure electric coolant fan is running.if not check or replace fan relay.the coolant fan has to be running to cool down refrigerant in condensor.so refrigerant in condensor is cooled back down to high pressure liquid so it can go to evaporator.see ifcoolant fan not working.the AC is not going to cool.when you driving the condensor is cooling down from moving air when car is going.when you come to a stop.cooling fan suppose to be on so condensor gased can be cooled down.

Engine cooling fan just stopped working

Fuse, Coolant temperature Sensor or fan relay possible problem, for proper fix, or wire in your own $5 switch, and mount to dash, then you turn it on & off.
