Can't figure out how to wire up my trailer

You will need a ground wire first.
If you have a car built in the USA since about 1985, you have separate ground wires all over the car to each electrical component. You will need to find one and add a wire for the trailer so the trailer electric will be grounded to the car.
The ground wires on 4 prong flat plugs are white in color.
If your car is older than that, you can drill a hole in the metal frame and attach the ground wire to the frame at the rear of the car.
Next do the taillights.
Find the hot wire to the taillight on either side or to the license plate light and add a wire to that one to go to the trailer.
This wire is usually brown if you are using a flat 4 wire plug set up.
The next wire is the left turn signal, that wire is usually yellow in color, Finally, the right turn signal wire is green.
Understand you can have a real conflict if the trailer light do not match the car lights.
In that case, you may need to buy an adapter to make them work. What I mean is, if you have a separate bulb on the car for the turn signal and for the brake light, that will not match most trailers, and you will need to buy an electronic adapter.
God bless your efforts.

2002 silverado 1500 wiring diagram where can i get a copy? i need to wire it for a trailer.

Look in your glove box and see if you have the PRO code U89: wiring harness, car trailer
It's common to have the trailer harness already installed in your Silverado without you know and the dealer can pull it out for you from where it's tucked up in the frame passenger side by the spare tire for the simple cost or $65.00.

Need to wire trailer lights to 2006 Nissan Murano

Go to an auto parts store, they wire harnesses that will plug into most vehicles. If they make one for your Nissan, I don't know, but it's a real simple deal you just plug it in to existing harness in the rear of the vehicle.

Install trailer light wireing to pickup

Under the truck under the bumper there will be a 5 wire plug that can be used to wire in a trailer the color codes are brown green black white and red, but if you have a system wired for American systems you will have to buy a converter box from a Auto parts store to wire it to the American wiring system. The plug has a cover on it and pulls off.

Looking for a wiring diagram for a 2006 Ford Expedition

7way- black is 12volt (power), brown, running lights, yellow is left turn signal and stop light, green is right turn signal and stop light, white is ground, blue is brakes, and orange is aux power (can be back up lights, if trailer equipped w/ them). 6way is the same, minus orange wire. I have run into some variations to the above color codes (brown, yellow and green only-sometimes these 3 are different than stated, but only mixed as that group, as to what they control- example would be green is running lights, brown and yellow are turn signal and stop lights, the others should be as stated), if you have any trouble with things not working properly, it may be due to these variations, although the above are pretty standard. If you have an ohm meter you can check as you go (check for power at black wire- should be constant 12v, turn on turn signal and check for power-it will fluctuate from approx. 12 volts to 0 volts as the signal power pulses in the wire) hit the brakes, blue wire should show power, etc. Let me know if you need more help as you go.
