If the light is ywllow, it's emmissions or some sensor. You can drive to a service center and have the codes read. If the light is red...STOP!! and check engine oil. DO NOT drive further!! Have it towed in for service.

2003 jeep grand cherrakee larado 6 cyl 4wd , replace oil pan gasket and rear seal seal

You can do it in chassis but you will have
the trans out to do the seal. It is much easier to pull the engine at that point. The 6 cylinder is not that bad to remove.

99 jeep grand cherokee has power to one coil pack but no spark

The 6 cyl engine uses a coil strip for all 6 cylinders, and the 8 cyl uses one coil per cylinder. So I assume you have an 8 cyl engine.
You are saying one coil has power but is not firing ?
Have you switched it with another cylinder to eliminate the coil as a possible problem ?

Belts already off need to get slack for new one

The 6 cyl engine uses an adjustable pulley to keep the belt tight.
The 8 cyl engine uses a tensioner that is spring loaded.
You have to loosen the mounting bolts and turn the adjusting bolt to move it on the 6 cyl.
You use a bar or wrench to move the tensioner.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Power Loss

a bad cam sensor will cause vehicle to shut off while driving, and cause a hard time starting. but this usually sets a trouble code p0340. scan vehicle to see if any codes come up. after it is fixed, erase codes with a obd2 scanner. if you do not have one, you can go to any auto parts store and they will erase codes for free.
