My 2005 ml350 slips on acceleration

If the transmission is slipping and I assume that is what you mean then it is going to need an overhaul. Once an auto transmission slips it is done.

Sounds like your transmission has come to the end of its life. You can try getting the transmission flushed , and an additive I.E. No Slip added. That might cure some of the problems but obviously if its slipping the clutchs inside are worn out and transmission needs an overhaul.

2005 SL55 AMG. 68,000 miles. Just got the car. Issues with transmission. If you floor it, it seems to go into neutral, the engine and tach rev out, and once you are stopped in park, it is fine.

Possible torque converter going bad. The torque converter connects the engine to the transmission through the drive shaft.

Also, check that the auto transmission fluid is topped off. Low fluid can cause the symptom described, as the torque converter is filled and works with auto transmission fluid.

Good luck on this repair.

Possible transmission problems

It definitely sounds like the transmission. If you haven't had the transmission fluid and filter changed I would recommend having that done. I also recommend the Lucas transmission oil which will help alleviate (within reason) slipping issues.

Car drives fine in first gear but slips completely in 2 3 & 4th

Auto matic or standard ????If standard, the clutch is shot, if automatic the clutches are slipping may be low on transmission fluid, check first.

seems to me , the 3rd gear shift range is slipping.
You probably have internal failure.
You should take to transmission shop
