Go to autozone and use their code reader. This should give you a general idea what the problem is. The code reader is attached with a cable to a diagnostic port under the edge of the dash.

2003 Ford Explorer XLT Wants To Stall At Low Idle,, especially when at a stop light

How does it idle in park , does it run ruff or smooth? Are any lights lit on the dash , check engine etc. ? Could have a partially plugged IAC air passage .idle air control (IAC) valve ! The engine computer uses the IAC to control idle , when under a load such as when put into gear the computer raises the idle ! It does this by allowing more air to by pass the closed throttle into the engine raising the idle ! If these air passages clog they restrict the air flow an cause a idle problem ! Now if it runs ruff at idle in park you could have vacuum leak ! Rough Idle How to Fix Ford Taurus Engine Stalls at Stop Signs

1999 ford explorer stalling idling rough converter smoking

Check engine light is supposed to flash if there is a problem...what code are you getting?? Converter smoking may mean that its plugged, try removing the o2 sensor before the cat and see if it runs better. Scan it, and get me a code !! If you don't have a scan diagnostic too most auto part stores will let you borrow one, if you leave your drivers license.

I change the spark plug and after starte to shake ann act weir and check engine light came on

Did you gap the spark plugs, or did any of the spark plug wires get damage while removing them, or did a spark plug wire get crossed, the engine light is most likely a cylinder misfire, I would check or replace spark plug wire's.

Engine misfires

You didnt mention having changed the spark plug wires, so that is another item that could be culprit as well. As well, it could be a coil pack that is not working properly.

I cannot recall at the moment if that model year uses coil on plugs or if it uses coil packs. Either way, if it uses a coil on plug set up, take the one for the #3 cylinder and move it to say #4 or anyone of your choice and see if the misfire follows

If it uses coil packs, there is likely one coil pack that controls two cylinders. In that case just swap the coil pack with an adjacent one and see if the problem follows. Pay attention to where the spark plug wires go because it will be an issue if you get them mixed up. You just swap the coil packs around.

I would, however, start with the spark plug wires if you have not changed them already.
