Where is the starter is on an '04 Lexus ES 330?

I need to know where the starter is on my '04 lexus es 330. I believe my starter is done. The engine will not turn over (all t does is click repeatedly when I turn the key), and the headlights and radio come on when I turn the key. So, it is not the battery or the alternator.

Thanks for the tip, but I have already tried boosting the battery. I wish that was the problem with the car.

Look where the transmission and motor meet. It is towards the front of the car. You will need a 14mm socket. Only 2 bolts. Make sure you disconnect the positive battery cable first.

It could still be the battery. there may be enough power to turn on lights etc. but not enough to engage starter. try boosting before condemning the starter, and these cars are not known for starter issues.

Is 2002 lexus es300 a non interference engine

The 2002 lexus es 300 has the 3.0L engine, which is non-interference. The later lexus es 330 has the 3.3L engine, which is an interference engine. The even later es350 has the 3.5 engine and is back to non-interference as well as having a timing chain rather than a belt. Hope this helps.

Where is air filter located on 2004 ES 330 Lexus?

The engine air filter is inside a plastic covering just to the northwest of the battery. On the right side of the covering are 2 bolts on the front and back that need to be unscrewed.

TRAC OFF, VSC, and check engine lights are on in my 2004 Lexus ES 330

Often caused by a loose gas cap or fouled or failed air fuel O2 sensor. Check your gas cap is fully ratcheted, Drive a day or two. If lights don't clear you will need a code reader attached to the car to diagnose.

Lexus ES 330 2004 At what mileage does the radiator need to be serviced? Also, does it have an internal timing chain that needs to be serviced?

the coolant needs to be serviced @ 60k according to lexus reccomendation. theres a timing belt that needs to be changed @ 90k miles. I usually just change the coolant with the timing belt because you have to take the water pump off anyway and replace the engine coolant.

OBD reader for 04 LEXUS ES330

Any OBD2 reader should work. the OBD connector is under the dash just forward of where the drivers knees would be. I think most ALL cars are within 18" of the steering wheel.
