First check if your parking brake is fully released
second, check brake oil level in your reservoir. Add oil if required and check for leaks through the brakes line if problem is still there or reoccurs
Hope it will help

Check your brake fluid level. it may be down just to the point where it would trigger the light to come on. top it up and see.

Have an audi a4 quattro 2005 convertible problem is 3rd brake light will stop working and than work again. i also get dash warning when it goes out. will replacing brake switch fix this. also 2nd issue...

The brake light issue isn't likely the the brake switch (since it sounds like your other brake lights are working properly). It's likely a bulb in the third brake light. When the filaments get old they sometimes lose and regain contact as the car vibrates on the road. Change the bilbs and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, look for a bad wire connection around the third brake light. Also, have someone verify the third brake light isn't working from the back of the car when you see the alert, it could be a bad sensor.

I have a 1996 Nissan Quest XE and am experiencing problems with the brake lights randomly staying on. For the most part, the brake lights turn off when I let go of the brake pedal but rather frequently...

Make sure that the wires to the brake switch are not getting pinched. If you press the brake and the problem goes away, then the problem has to be centered there in the brake pedal area. The other thing you can check is to make sure that the brake pedal springs back to normal location, if the spring is broken or worn out, then the whole weight of the pedal is going to lean on the switch, turning it on eventually. The brake pedal should barely touch the switch and not rest on the switch.(some brake switches may be different and may not be push button). Either way, make sure that brake pedal is coming up all the way.

The rear brake lights do not work. This includes the center brake light at the top of the rear hatch

although I have not experienced this problem in the exact vehicle you have, General Motors has had problems with the turn signal switches in many of their vehicles. The turn signals may still work properly, but the electric signal from the brake light switch passes through the turn signal switch (also called a combination switch) before it goes to the brake lights. I assume you have no problem shifting out of park or you would have mentioned it, which tells me the brake light switch is functioning properly. First thing to do, as always is to check for blown fuses. If it is a blown fuse, you then need to determine what caused the fuse to blow. If you have towed a trailer recently, it could have been faulty wiring in the trailer, or it could be faulty wiring in the trailer lighting harness of the Escalade.

2001 Mirage 1.8. Battery and brake light goes on very dim when i press the brakes. Once driving it goes away. Went to three different places to get battery and alternator check both are good with...

Most likely there is a short in the wiring for your brake lights. Modern automotive electrical systems are very complex, if you're not experienced with automotive or electrical repair it may be best to take the car to a reputable repair shop. Parts stores can not diagnose or repair this type of problem.

Brake pedal goes to floor

From the symptom you have stated, there is a problem with brake system. You have not mentioned whether you have any braking effect on the vehicle when the brake pedal goes to floor. Anyway, you may check the following:
1. Check brake fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir. If the level is less, then you have to go to a garage as just filling up the fluid will not help and the brake hydraulic system needs bleeding.
2. Get the brake adjustment of all the wheels checked by an experienced garage mechanic.
3. Get the Brake Master and Wheel cylinders checked by an experienced garage mechanic.
4. The brake liners might be worn out. Get the same checked by an experienced garage mechanic.
5. Brake pipes which convey brake fluid from Master cylinder to the wheels might be leaking. Get the same checked by an experienced garage mechanic.
Whatever may be the cause of the symptom, do not use your vehicle till you get the problem solved as you are accedent prone without the brake system proper functioning.
Good luck..

1997 Audi A4 Brake Vibration

the only thing i can think of as a problem would be brake pad quality. i would get some from the dealer and fit them. if there is chatter going on it can also be caused by low quality rotors or a bad maching job. have them inspected for integrity.

Brake light, battery light, antilock brake light coming on

this issue sounds like a grounding issue, teh main clue being everything gets dimmer. sometimes an additional ground is a faster repair than finding and resolving under dash issues.

This issue will likely NOT be battery or alternator.

Love the right rear tire clue, and it should not be related..
