The heater blows cold air .New thermastat.Defrost and heat mode changes just no heat.

it will need service,
check pressures.
hot air as in heater on, so turn off the heater,
test in pure A/C mode Cold.
when both A/C and heat are on this is called defrost mode
which adds cold dry air to hot air and dehumidifes the hot air and window.

the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

needs to replace the heater core

it is totally normal for the a/c to run in defrost mode, thats how it clears the window so fast, it dehumidifies the air. as for no heat, you prob have a broken blend door or blend door motor

Could be the control switch itself. Or possibly the actuator that moves the door from defrost to heater. With the heater on, try switching from defrost to heat and try to hear if you can hear anything in the dash operating.

need to check your blend air door located behind the dash on the passanger side, if that checks out good then you have a blockage either in your heater core or hoses to/from the heater core.

Make sure the heater control valve is opening and closing. This is likely under the hood near the rear of the engine. There will be coolant hoses connected to it. This valve allows hot coolant to enter the heater. If the valve fails or gets corroded shut, no hot coolant can reach the heater; and you will have no heat.
