remove the screws in the tail light housing. Either there will be 4 screws on the outside holding the housing, or there will be two plastic wing nuts on the inside behind the rear liner. Oce the screws or nuts are removed, then you can gently pry off the plastic tail light lens.

Where is my Toyota Highlander 2008 fuel filter located?

This model does not have an external fuel filter, there is a permanent fuel filter inside the gas tank that is not serviceable unless you want to remove the gas tank.

My '08 Highlander Sport needs new tires. I'm considering the Bridgestone Alenza. It is a 255/55R19 whereas the OEM tire is 245/55R19. Any advise would be appreciated. Toyota dealer says I shouldn't do...

Hi,the 255/55R/19 is just a little taller ( 3/4--1" inch.) than the oem tire and should not be an issue to use, i took the 16" rims & tires off my 99 f-350 truck and put 18" rims and tires from a 2008 f-350 on it ( the dealer said they would not even bolt on!! but they bolted right up with no issues, and they improved my ride tremendously.) as long as you have enough clearance between tire and fender it will not be an issue at all. yz-maniac.

2008 Toyota Highlander Sport AWD when starting off the engine seems to rev fairly high for very small vehicle movement. At idle engine revs around 1000RPM. Gas mileage is poor,17MPG for about 80% city, 20%...

yes it is normal many customers complain about how the newer cars are not as responsive from a stop basically you have to hit the gas then the car goes seems to rev high to people with not a lot of movement becausse of this its because the newer cars are throttle by wire when you hit the gas it sends a electrical signal to the throttle to go instead of a few yyears back they were you hit the gas and the cable attached to gas pedal pulls back throtttle much more responsive hope this helps
