I dont think you have an head gasket problem.Check that your therostat is working.Try running the engine without it.Or replace it.I would like to now a little moore about this problem,You dont give enough detail on it.

Can you use gasket in a tube for head gasket?

head gasget you must use one for the car maker as such high heat and pressures involved sealing cyliders and the head. it would be a good thing to check the head and block is not damaged eg not flat or cracked best of luck to you.

Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.5 L poor engine performance, very flat. Good idle, not missing. Could the timing chain be the cause. No codes when scanned.

I would suggest a compression test as an engine with those miles on it will be close to being badly worn
If thee is a chain problem it will not be running

06 Grand a vitara v6 overheating on open highway. Didn't do it in traffic or stop lights. Had aircon on as it was a hot 38 degree day. Aircon would get warm as temperature gauge went to red. Went back to...

bubbling when the coolant is full indicates a head gasket problem. have a compression test done to check for gasket/cracked head. have a flow test done on the radiator as the cores may be blocked reducing coolant flow.

I THINK I HAVE A BLOWN HEAD GASKET IN MY 00 GRAND VITARA SUV, IT OVERHEAT AND SHUTS OFF ALSO HAVE TWO OIL LEAKS. IS IT REPAIRABLE OR SHOULD I BUY A USED MOTOR

Hi,

Yes this is reparable both the head-gasket and the oil leaks.

Just price up the cost of a second hand motor and the repairs of the head-gasket and oil leaks.

Go with the cheapest.

Thanks

Temprature guage go's into the red

so your radiator is new...have the cylinder head check for warpage and top head gasket leaks...this one of the common causes of overheating
