The power swich to move the seats to my Honda Pilot forward and backward isn't working.....the power switches for the backrest and to raise or lower the seat do.....my problem is trying to get the hosing unscrewed. The last screw is a the pillar separating the front and rear and I can't get to it...is there a way to manually move the seat forward or backward so I can get at the last screw?

Hello, need to remove the switch and check for power at the switch (12 Volts). Being down around the inside carpet, and the switch isn't hermetically seal, dirt and grim gets in the switch cause it not to operate properly.

If there is 12 Volts at the switch and it still doesn't function properly then replace the switch. Try find a switch in the wrecking yard--wreck cars/trucks, etc.. If you have to buy it from the dealer-$$$. I wish you luck. GB...stewbison

2001 Honda Accord electric seat moves up and down but not forward and backward.

Could be a bad switch or motor, or something jamming the seat movement.
Can you hear the motor running on both switches and directions?
I don't think they would have two fuses for the seat, but that might be a possibility.
Hope this helps.

2004 honda pilot drivers power seat not working

First and simplest thing is to check fuses for power seat; there's 1 in the engine compartment and 2 (forward/backward and tilt) in the interior, passenger side fuse box. Check your Owners manual for location.

Drivers seat 2000 outback

So here is a diagram of the seat circuitry for your car. Since every other function works except the forward/backward slide function, that leaves basically the forward/backward slide motor, the seat switch, and/or the wiring. If you can verify that the wiring under the seat is in good condition without obstructions, chaffed wires, and/or wires pulled too tight, then it's safe to say it's down to just the motor and/or the switch. Sometimes if the passengers front seat has the same switch, you can plug it in to the drivers' side connector and see what works and what doesn't. If the seat works fine with the other switch, then that's all it needs, if not then it will need a motor. If the other seat doesn't have a switch then you can find them at wrecking yards, or just supply power and ground to the motor in question to see if it works. If it does, then you know you kneed a switch and if not then a motor.
I hope this info helps!~subyguru~

Automatic driver seat broken, how to fix/cost

The back and foward movement uses the same motor. So if it moves one way but not the other it's most likely the switch. Try to blow it out or clean it out. If pop or somthing spilled on it you will prob. need to pull switch out and take it apart to clean contacks inside.

Everything works on the power seats except unable to move seats forward and backward

There are usually 3 motors for power seats, 1 to tilt the seat, 1 to raise and lower the seat, and 1 to move the seat back and forth. I would think that motor is bad. Check for any obstuctions to the seat track.

Driver's seat not moving 2006 Navigator

Most seats have more than one motor anymore depending on the features, if it raises/lowers but will not go forward/backward or will only go in one direction (moves forward but not back) its likely you have a faulty motor. If nothing is working check your fuses first then check the switch.
