Drive car on ramps or 2 2x12s reach behind oil pan remove bolt drain hot oil from car that has just been driven.into pan. When oil is just dripping very slow say 15 min replace plug. Now just behind front bumper next to engine is an oil filter remove it with an oil filter wrench. Make sure the gasket came off with the filter or just reach up with a clean rag and wipe the housing it will fall off if you touch it. Put oil on gasket of new filter and screw it on when the gasket touches the housing go 3/4 s of a turn more. Put in about 5-1/2 to6 quarts of 10w 30 oil. Start engine for a min ck for leaks shut off and ck dip stick and make sure it reads full after sitting 5 min or so to let oil dip down into pan

I would recommend servicing the transmission. Change the filter and fluid and add either Lucas or Trans X to the system when you refill it.

Pacifica oil light

If the oil light is red it means engine oil pressure is below 10psi which can damage the engine. It does not always mean the engine oil level is low.

I have a 2006 pacifica and it has a tick coming from the top side of the motor and the tick increases with acceleration

Hi,

This can often signify lack of lubrication at the top of then engine.

How many miles has the vehicle done, since it's last oil & filter change?
Is the vehicle often parked on an incline?

An oil change may rectify this - I recommend you select your oil carefully.

You can also buy a special oil additive, specifically designed to lubricate the lash adjusters at the top of the engine.

Hope this helps...

Diagram of the engine?

if you follow the hose from your air filter to where it meets the engine you will see your throttle cable also connected to this piece on the intake that is your throttle body.
