Problem with starting 89 F150 straight drive. Ignition or clutch?

I have a 1989 F150 with manual 5-speed. Is there a clutch switch on a 1989 ford f150? If so where is it located?

Sit up on the clutch paddle, follow the clutch paddle up under the dash, the rod that goes through the fire wall to the clutch master cylinder, sit around that rod, will have a six pin connector going to it.

The clutch switch is located above the clutch pedal on the arm (look up under dash at clutch pedal assy , you will see a switch on it).

It usually aint the stinkin switch! the shaft that the clutch and brake pedals ride on has bushings that get worn out....then , repeated use wears the shaft out causing the shaft to rotate upward, away from the safety switch when you step on the clutch pedal. this does not allow the switch to depress properly........ya gotta change the whole thing. The whole assembly comes in a sheet metal frame: both pedals, bushings.....all that stuff. Cant be done any other way! so far, I have 3 hours and 56 tylenols invested in changing the thing....you have to disconnect 6 bolts and 2 wires. Then, getting the old frame away from the safrty switch! Still workin on that

Most likely is the clutch inhibit switch, the switch is on the rod that goes from the clutch pedal to the the clutch master cylinder.Could be a bad ignition switch but that is rare. The clutch switch is designed to keep the vehicle from cranking without the clutch engaged.Make sure the floor mat is not wadded up under the pedal.
