Lights on the climate controls won't go on. Is that a burned bulb or a fuse issue?

If the other lights in the dash work, the dome light/radio bezel lights work, and the cigarette lighter works, it's a blown bulb.

If any of the other lights don't work as well, it's possibly a fuse, but still could be multiple blown bulbs, which can happen when power fluctuates but does not cause the fuse to open.

Testimonial: "Thank you i thought that might be the case but wasn't sure. I'm relatively new to the whole car thing. "

1985 Cadillac Fleetwood d elegant installing a aftermarket radio lost the lights in the electronic climate control and fuel gauge.. fuse is still good where to look next

next I would check wires going to fuel gauge and climate control .more than likely when you took out radio the wiring might had come loose. if still no lights you can put back old radio and see if you have lights. wiring might be part of all three.then it might be possible those bulbs for fuel gauge and climate control might just have burned out especially being an 85

Defrost not working

Hello, and welcome to fixya! The reason that you are able to hear the climate control system and not feel the air coming out of the defroster, is that the damper (this controls where the air is directed when you change the vent selection on the climate controls) is not operating as it should. The damper is controlled by vacuum pressure, and the usual culprit is that the vacuum hose running to the damper is either loose, or defective(usually dry rotted) which will create a vacuum loss. Without the vacuum pressure to operate the damper, you will lose some, but not all functionality of the vent selection. I recommend that you check the vacuum line(s) that run to the damper, making sure that the vacuum hose is connected, and free of defects, like cracks, holes, and that the connections are not loose as hoses can and will lose their elasticity, which will create a vacuum loss. If that is not the issue, I recommend that you remove the climate control vent selector and make sure that all of the connections to the control panel are secure and free of defect. If that is not the issue, you may have a faulty damper (which is rarely the case), and that will need to be replaced. As far as the climate control lights not working, that could be a simple as a blown fuse, faulty bulbs, or even as simple as a poor connection to the bulbs, or to the control selector. I highly recommend that you disconnect and reconnect all of the connections to the unit. When you check the fuse panel, remove the fuse(s) & check for faults and make sure that the connection the fuse is making in the fuse panel is making a solid connection. I hope that you have found this information useful, are able to resolve the issues you are experiencing.

Rear turn and stop lights won't work. Replaced bulbs, but still out. Can't locate a blown fuse.

On some vehicles when a light is burnt out it turns that whole section off on others the lights are individual and can burn independently. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

95 grand marquis no turn signals changed the switch still didnt work changed the lcm no change all the fuses are good . next problem have no climate control nothing lights up fuses are good thank you

check the turn signal flasher, also check the bulbs some autos, are designed to do this.
If there is a blown bulb, the turn signal on that side will not blink, but will burn steady to tell the driver,a short in wiring can also cause this

I just bought this car. Is there supposed to be a light for the climate control? It is not illuminated in the dark when the lights are on. Just don't know if this is normal or a light or fuse?

It is supposed to be illuminated. It may be a fuse or a bulb inside the climate control module. You can call the dealer and they will tell you if the bulb is replaceable or if the entire module must be replaced.

My dash lights, climate control lights, and taillights all went out at the same time. I think I checked all fuses, what could it be?

These are all connected to the same circuit. Check all bulbs and relays , fuses or fuse wires. Fuse wires are wires that burn out if a short is found. The relays maybe under the hood in the "black fuse box'. I will appreciate yourthumbs up if this helps .
