The IAT should be in a small black box on the top right of your air intake - there should be a 2-pin plug with a wire leading from it.
Hope this helps, Sherwin

SOURCE: Where is the IAT sensor

The IAT sensor and your Mass Air Flow sensor will be one in the same located near your filter box on the intake tube

Testimonial: "Autozone and Ford parts show an IAT sensor, but I can't find it. I came to the same conclusion that it was part of the MASS sensor."

Where is the iatsensor in a 2000 ford explorerwith a 40 sohc engine repair book says it is in the intake tube but i is not . where else should i look for it and what does it look like

IAT sensor ( Intake Air Temperature sensor) is in the air intake tubing by the air cleaner. It is about the size of a spark plug and has 2 or 3 wires plugging into it. Just look for wires going into rubber intake tubing and you found it. Hope this helps.

Yes, I'm trying to find the ait sensor on my 1996 ford explorer. Can you tell me where it is located, or the position where it is at?

You mean IAT, right? Intake Air Temp? depends on which motor you have. I have a couple diagrams below:

4.0 SOHC: on back side of intake hose

5 liter: on top of the hose
