The INFL. REST. Light means Inflatable Restraint light. The light should blink five to seven times when you first start the car and then should shut off. If the light does not shut off, get your ride checked for error code.

How do you fix a faulty INFL Rest light sensor?

INFL rest means
inflatable restraint
take it in, air bags can kill you.
or read the FSM like all mech do....

Infl. rest. light came on then service engine soon. I immdeiately pulled over then ABS light came on. Shut car off sat for awhile then started it up. infl. rest. light flashed and battery volt light...

sounds like an alternator going. Should be 14 volts at battery with engine running at 1500 rpms

What does the INFL REST light mean? it flashes then stays on for a while

The INFL REST light means the "Inflatable Restraint" .Any time the light illuminates, a code is stored within the Central Control Module (CCM). That's your Airbag light. It stands for Inflationary Restraint. It should blink 5 times then go off. If it stays on there is a problem.Get the car scanned for codes before replacing any part.At www.autozone.com its absolutely free to get car scanned to get codes. Infl rest light stays on a few more seconds longer then the rest of the lights on the dash when starting the car

well, is there an aftermarket steering wheel on it?? cuz the original steering wheels are big and have air bags, which don't match the cars style many owners have them replaced.. infl rest stands for inflatable restraint btw

Light on dash by volt meter says INFL REST.

if it just blinks for 5 or so seconds and then turns off it is okay. INFL REST. mean Inflateable Restraint or Air Bags.

Infl rest light flashing no fuel

Your Infl. Rest. Light is supposed to flash 7-9 times when you turn the ignition on or when you start the engine, It should then go off. If it is constantly flashing or comes on and stays on, You have a problem with your airbags and they will not function in a crash. It is unrelated to your fuel issue.

You will have to retrieve the S.I.R.codes.This will let you know where the problem is.Weather it is sensors, wiring,or the module.But you can only find out by getting the codes.Hope this helps.Good luck.

SOURCE: the light INFL REST is on

This stands for the Inflatable Restraint and comes on when the computer senses a problem with the airbag system. Have a scan tool hooked up to the car and retrieve any trouble codes that might be present.

Hi,

Inflatable Restraint is a common occurrence. When the light illuminates, a code is stored within the CCM (Central Control Module). The code stored indicates a sensor problem - possibly a faulty sensor ground or faulty sensor or sensors.
