I have a 2006 dodge ram 3500 with Cummings diesel. It has a 410 gear axle ratio with anti-spin differential. One wheel is all that spins in snow. I jacked one wheel off the ground and put it in drive and the one wheel just spins. What is the problem?
You have what is known as an open diff. or worn out clutch packs in a limited slip. most makers put in a open diff because its cheaper and handles better. if you did not pay for it on your invoice your stuck with stock unless you put it in your self.
Testimonial: "This was very helpful.would you recomend a better limited slip appilication that could be installed in this differential.30,000 miles on this one; "
there are several on the market.for your aplication however i would recomend on that you can engage or disengage. these give you all the benefits of a posi without the drawbacks ie: shorter tire life, harder cornering, and a reduction in fuel mileage. chk out detroit locker. also get a towing magazine. a lot of times these will have articles or ads that can help.

On the window sticker when this truck was new it was listed as an anti spin differential. the truck has 30,000 miles on it. is it normal for this to be not working this soon? can you recomend a better limited slip kit that can be used in this application?
