There should be a fill hole on the left side of the trans. you can unscrew and fill with 85-90w fluid.........good luck. You may need a tube to get the fluid in.

You have transmission issues, the first thing to do is have the fluid changed in the transmission to see if that improves the hard shifting and then go from there.

left hand side of the motor near the fire wall closest to the windshield look for a yellow handle it will be short and may be in a difficult location to see put just poke your head in there and look...
if this is a standard tranny there will be no way to check othr than opening up the filler hole on your tranny

Shifting

no the gears cant be adjusted like that but you could have a problem with the linkage going to the transmision. sounds like you need to inspect for loseand or worn parts.
