It had been sitting in the garage fo a while. I finally took it out yesterday. It drove fine for about 5mn. I then stopped at a car wash. At that point when I would try to start it, it would crank but wouldnt start. I purchased a brand new battery and a fuel filter so far.

Start with new plugs and wires, waht year? Cap and rotor for older Jags and I would also check the CPS (camshaft postion sensor)

Hi i just bought a 94 cadillac deville and put it the road yesterday i drove it last night it seemed to fine this morning it would not start i took thew starter out and bench tested it that was fine all...

had it been sitting for a while before you got it? could be bad gas, could be moisture on the plugs, could be a fuel pump. turn it over a bit then check a plug and see if there is gas to it if there is then check to see if there is a spark. If no spark check coil.

Stalling

Possibly faulty ignition module is the problem, stalls when engine is hot when you sit for a while it cools off and runs again until it heats up again, those are usually the symptoms of a bad ignition module and after a while it may give out all together and not run at all, usually if the module is at fault it shuts down the fuel pump so the engine don't load up with fuel, do to when engine continuously cranks over the injectors never stop squirting fuel and flood the engine do to lack of spark which is produced by the module, this could possibly be your problem.
