Spray some starting fluid into the throttle body if it starts and then dies again you have a fuel delivery problem. If it doesnt start check to see if you that you have spark at the plug wires and coil.

My brother's got his ford f150 standard truck stuck in the mud and now it wont start the battery is fine but when you try to start it all it does is click the first time then if you try again it wont do...

Hi, The only way the mud or water has got into the heads is if the engine or exhaust is stuck below the mud/water. Try to see if the exhaust is clear of mud or water if this is blocked then you will not start. But I think you may just have the starter motor has got mud into it, in which case you need to get vehicle pulled out & bump start it, IE: whilst either pulling or better to push the vehicle & get it to start. Do not turn it off until you have given vehicle a run as this will eliminate any mud around the flywheel which is why the starter will not work. Please leave me feed back: Malcolm Campbell, Thanks.

I have a 2003 mecedes benz when i pull the handle on the inside the hood only pops up on one side.

HI there are two bonnet latches and a cable that joins the two together that stretches sometimes or doesnt pull hard enough to open the other side to get the bonnet open pull the release handle and get a freind to slap their hand hard on the bonnet in the rough area of the bonnet catch it should pop open when you do get it open check the operation of the catch with the bonnet up by pushing a screwdriver across the catch to lock it the pull the realease and see if it will open the catch plenty of penetrating oil around the catch and grease after that should get it working again

My car isnt moving it has been stuck in the mudd and now i got it pulled out it wont move. did my transmission belt break or something

1. How long was it stuck in the mud, and 2.how deep was the mud? 3.Did you spin the tires like crazy for a while trying to get out? 4.What happens when you put it in gear and give it gas, does the engine speed increase, but the car just won't move?
If you (or someone else) beat the heck out of the car trying to get unstuck, jamming it in drive and reverse quickly, you may have blown the transmission. If the car sat in the mud for a while (a week or more?), the brakes might be the issue. You can check to see if it's a brake issue by starting the car, put in neutral, and have someone try to pull it with a tow strap or chain. If it won't move, or it does but the wheels don't roll, it's the brakes. If the wheels roll, it's the transmission. Check the trans. fluid level also. It's possible it's just low and won't engage. Let me know what you find.

I just drove my tahoe yesterday, pulled in the driveway and shut it off.went out to drive it today and it wont start.plenty of battery, gas.doesnt do anything when i turn the key at all, doesnt even try to...

it might be the solinoid on your starter motor, try tapping it with a hammer (its ok it is safe to do so) as the ignition is turned at the same time, it might free it...just an idea

2001 ford escort. engine turns over but will not start. pulled the plugs and motor gets good compression, replace plugs and wires, still nothing, then i put new timing belt-still nothing, checked fuel filter...

The engine needs three things to run, fuel, air and a spark at the right moment. Check the static timing of the motor, if those marks line up. You did not say you were getting any spark at the plugs. If you have spark, then try a little starting fuild into the intake while turning it over. If you have fuel delivery to the cylinders, the spark is coming at the right moment then it should be running. Any error codes set?

It quit

Take the vehicle for a scan. I suspect there must have been a warning sign that was ignored.
