The dash lights on my 2001 kia sedona suddently went out. The car runs fine. Checked the switches, bulbs and fuses, all tested fine. All other instrument lights work fine too. Thought it might be a sensor of some sort but the auto headlight function works fine. What next?

Driving that long. Could be many things. Do have the codes read. History codes. First thoughts are, dirty throttle body and IAC motor, fuel pressure, and no air flow threw the engine. (converters)
Have you checked the fuel pump relay to see if it is sending power to the pump ? The computer grounds the relay when the computer "sees" oil pressure or engine RPM.
The battery may be draining due to a software issue. The dealer can reprogram the system for a known defect which allows some systems to remain powered when the vehicle is off. 20 minute warranty fix at the dealer.
hallo. if imobilizer light is on in your car, there is something wrong with your key (key code is not recognised). It can be programed using diagnostic equipment by Kia dealer. Try second key. marko
Not a fuse But in the center console on the floor a little circut box right hand side solder let go resolder or buy new part, you have to take instep plastic off from both sides of vehicle lower glove compartment to get all the plastic under the dash out then in the center of the dash on the floor on the right hand side is a little box which controls the day time running lights 1.5" x 3" unplug it then remove it to open the box on one of the soldered points you'll see where the solder let go resolder it if you can't see this then replace the box in Canada $180.00 part . This happened to us two years ago haven't had a problem since and yes I too check the lights and fuses as well I know what you went through . Tim
