Did you make sure you filled the radiator up and got the overflow tank up to the correct level? Sometimes when you flush and drain the system and fill it back up air pockets can get trapped in the system. Start the jeep up with the radiator cap off and wait for the coolant to start flowing and when the air pockets make their way through they will escape and you can add more antifreeze.

Also, did you make sure you installed the thermostat so it is facing the right direction?

Good Luck

You have air in the system. when you drained the coolant and refilled the system you probably filled the radiator when the system wasnt running.....So when the jeep is cold take the cap off the radiator and start the car, keep pooring anti-freeze in the system until it is topped off completely, when the thermostat opens it should **** in more fluid, just keep adding until you cant add any more. When your system is full of fluid you will have heat again.

Might be that all the air is not out of the cooling system. The heater wont work with air in it or if is low on coolant.

Check for proper fluid level, water pump drive belt may be defective or need adjustment, faulty thermostat, radiator cap defective, radiator or core blocked or clogged, dirty grille. Hope that Helps

2001 JEEP ..RADIATOR IS COLD

what is the water temp at the dash...leave the rad cap off until normal temp... might be an air lock. If the engine overheats fast and blows coolant out the filler then its a blocked radiator...why did you repace the thermostat

Defrost doesn't work

if your ac blows hard and cold then it could be your heater core, but most likely the thermostat is going bad. When those fail it leaves the radiator in an open position and all your coolant goes through your radiator, so when its cold out its hard to get warm air out of your heater. IF it were my jeep i would take it somewhere and have the radiator and heater core flushed and check the thermostat. IT can be done yourself but requires some flushing agent from auto zone or auto parts store and some time and auto knowledge.

Goodluck.

How often has the coolant been changed? My only guess is that it hasn't and the hoses and the heater core are plugged up with goo and a flush is needed
