Overheating, removed thermostat still gets hot. waterpump? no evidence of water in oil..

Couple of thoughts. are you losing water/antifreeze, do you have the right mixture 50/50 water/antifreeze. You did not say if the thermostat is removed or replaced. If thermostat is stuck closed water will no circulate. Are you getting any flow from the water pump. If your heater core is bypassed you should not get any hot air from the heater in the vehicle. Make sure your oil levels are good.

A hot running engine is usually caused by a cooling system problem. Make sure the coolant level is full and the thermostat.. rad fan.. radiator cap and water pump are all functioning correctly. Make sure there are no restrictions in front of the radiator to obstruct air flow and coolant circulates properly throughout the radiator. As for losing oil, check for the obvious..... Leaks. If no major leaks and you have a high mileage engine, suspect the oil to be burning within the engine. A constantly hot running engine can also cause the oil to break down quicker resulting in consumption, especially if oil changes are neglected

Thermostat is probably the problem, the water pump when bad leaks coolant causing an overheating condition.

That's about the right amount of time for a thermostat to start opening. If the rad is cold and the engine is overheating then get the thermostat changed. It's likely sticking closed. This situation would also cause your coolant to boil in the head and evaporate the water out of the mixture. That's why you need to keep topping up. Hope this helps.

There are a couple of things that make a vehicle overheat. Your thermostat could be stuck closed not allowing the coolant to circulate, or your waterpump has gone out. Its possible your radiator has clogged up from minerals and or rust from the water.

Make sure you don't have a leak or a bad hose. The lower hose sometimes will get weak from oil contamination and the water pump will actually **** it closed.

When the car is warm feel your top radiator hose and see if it is cool. That would indicate a stuck thermostat. If it is hot then put on a pair of gloves and squeeze the hose, you should feel the pulsing of the waterpump and the water flowing by (like a garden hose). If not that is a good indicator of a bad pump.

you've got a possible blockage in the head or block.

might be blocked catalitic converter or as simple as ignition timing . looks like you changed a lot of expensive things you also might want to get a different mechanic to help you

check the water pump id sounds like not eneough flow.
