The horn on my 2004 Grand Am gradually stopped working. (When using the remote to lock the doors, sometimes the horn would barely bleat, at other times it sounded fine.) Fuses and connections seem ok. Could it be the door lock relays?

No, sounds like its time for new horns, have someone push horn button while you check for power at the horn, if theres power then replace the horns, sounds like bad horns to me,good luck.

Is there some way to lock a Jaguar 2004 X-type without using the remote entry control?

Sounds like you may have anouther problem, the horn should only 'peep' if you have left something open, like the boot (trunk), a rear door etc. In normal circustances the horn should not sound.

I have just installed a new battery in a 2004 focus and now the alarm system keeps going off what do you do? Tried diconneting and then reconnting still the system continues to go off

If you have a remote, lock then unlock the doors using the remote. That should stop the horn. If that doesn't work, use the ignition key in the driver's door lock and turn the key all the way to the left, then all the way to the right. Of course, this all has to be done with the battery connected, and the horn honking the whole time. If none of this works, look for a reset button under the driver side dash, or it may be a toggle switch. With the key in the on position. push and hold the button until you hear a beep from the alarm. On some cars, the reset button is behind the driver side kick panel.

Remote keyeless entry

a common issue i see alot in the WJ grand cherokee body style is that the wires between the door and body break and cause all kinds of issues like this. usually its on the drivers side in that black rubber wire loom

Automatic door locks will not work

Probably the door actuator - a part inside the door that activates the lock, particularly if neither the interior lock switch or the remote do not lock the door.  Once the doors lock the horn will beep again - the lack of beep indicates the vehicle is not secure.

Door lock 2004 jetta wagen

If remote locks and unlocks driver door but does not unlock passenger doors, then follow the advice above:
Get in the car using the key to unlock the doors. From the passenger side lock and unlock your doors using the button on the passenger door. Get out and the remote should now unlock all the doors with 2 presses.
Worked perfectly for me after several other suggestions (and dealer) failed.
