Help 10 codes on 323i! p0150 p0170 p0300 p0306 p0305 p0304 p0173 p1188 - Fuel Control(Bank 2 sensor 1) p1188 - Fuel Control(Bank 1 sensor 1) It doesn't effect my normal driving, my idle is little bit rough, there is also some power loss between 1 & 2 rpms. I replaced spark plugs, wires, o2 sensors. I think it may be my ignition coils because most of these codes are random misfires, 4, 5, & 6. Also my car shakes in idle.

These codes will have to be cleared and the car driven through a drive cycle, maybe a couple of times, is the check engine light off? Also you should check your MAF sensor it may need to be cleaned or replaced and makes sure there are no holes in your intake tubing. Hope this helps, let me know.

How to fix below error codes: P0150,P1931,P0304,P0300 for this car? Model:A4; Maker:Audi; Year:2001

P0150 = O2 Sensor Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1.
P0300 = Random/multiple cylinder(s) - misfire detected.
P0304 = Cylinder 4 - misfire detected. You will need to get the car locked at in more detail to find out what it actually is.
You will need to recheck the P1931 code as I cannot find it listed.

P0304 = #4 cylinder misfires
P0170 = Fuel Trim, Bank-1
P0173 = Fuel Trim, Bank-2
P1250 = this is invalid code for BMW
P1188 = Fuel control, bank-1, sensor-1 (pre-cat sensor)
P1189 = Fuel control, bank-2, sensor-1 (pre-cat sensor)
Vacuum leaks and/or sensor defective for the issues of the codes.
This error codes really need parts to replace. But you have to replace the thermostat first. Then clear the codes and see if any reappears,then replace defective part/s

Fuel System Too Rich or Too Lean (Bank 1) Print this code dataprint_icon_codes.gif Number of Trips to Set Code: 2
OBD II Monitor Type: CCM Details
Indicators: MIL Details
Trouble Code Conditions:
DTC P0100, P0101, P0110, P0115, P0120, P0121, P0130, P0133, P0136, P0135, P0136, P0141, P0153, P0155, P0201-206, P0300, P0301-P0306, P0401, P0402 and P0441 not set, engine running in closed loop at a stable engine speed, and the PCM detected the lean or rich fuel trim correction value was more than or less than a calibrated limit in memory.

Possible Causes:
  • Air leaks present in the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipes
  • Air being drawn in from leaks in engine gaskets or other seals
  • Base engine "mechanical" fault affecting one or more cylinders
  • Fuel control sensor is out of calibration (i.e., ECT, IAT or MAF)
  • Fuel delivery system supplying too much or too little fuel at idle or cruise (e.g., faulty fuel pump or dirty, restricted fuel filter)
  • One or more fuel injectors is dirty, leaking or stuck open/closed
  • HO2S element is contaminated, damaged or it has failed

Have the O2 Sensor changed on the Right Bank, ( passenger side of the Engine, or where the # 1 cylinder is.)
Good luck and hope this helps

Need to know what p1188 is to diy er

SAE Code P1188 DTC Code 17596 Description Linear 02 Sensor / Compensator Resistor Short to ground SAE Code P1189 DTC Code 17597 Description Linear 02 Sensor / Compensator Resistor Short to B+ SAE Code P0170 DTC Code 16554 Description Fuel Trim, Bank1 Malfunction

Basically you need a new oxygen sensor, The fuel trim code is from the computer trying to adjust the fuel/Air mixture to compensate for the bad signal from the sensor. Just change the one closer to the engine, the one behind the Catalytic converter will thow a different code when it fails.
