I have the same problem after new head gasket all blead engine up to temp but not very warm heater any ideas
Ok. Here goes. 1. Start by making sure your thermostat is the correct one and that means the manufacturer suggested temp must be right. 2. You said the radiator is not stopped up. Good, or you should be overheating which will destroy motor. 3. Both top and bottom radiator hoses should get hot when stat opens and water pump circulates water. 4. Heater hoses can be removed and backflushed to check for circulation. 5. check inside valves for opening closing heater core. Some are mechanical and some are electronic that open and close off the heater core. 6. If your head gasket is blown or heads are warped due to excessive abuse or age of vehicle then you will have to decide to fix (not good idea on aluminum motors) or replace the motor or the car. 7. Had a relative who died of cancer and had me replace his stat two times thinking this would give him more heat in the car but the cancer is what caused his body temp to stay cold. Hope you do not have cancer.
