Not all power steering systems are hydraulic. I think some G6 models have electronic power steering so no fluid is needed. Referring to the owners manual it appears that only the 3.9L uses a hydraulic system. If there is a reservoir it will either be tucked behind the alternator or mounted on that end of the engine. The top mounted reservoir filler cap is on top of the engine to the left of the oil filler cap.

use a hammer to tap on the head of the shaft to push it back out, put a small block of wood on it before hitting it so you dont mushroom the end or distort the threads.
Hello! The power steering reservoir cap is black and does have a yellow picture of a steering wheel on it. It would indeed be located on the passenger's side of the engine, about halfway on the length of the motor. However, if you are unable to locate yours, you have a G6 equipped with the electronic steering system, which has no reservoir. A good way to determine this is if your car has the V6 engine, if it does - you have the electronic system.
sounds like your front end is worn out and yes tie rod ends are a common source of this problem along with out of balance tires and seperated tire cords, any tire store will inspect your car for free and give you an estimate to repair.
