I have a light/fog switch assembly part # 15755954 that I bought from Ebay for my 2001 Chevy S-10 ZR2 pickup. I would like to install fog lights using the fog light switch to control them and there is already wiring that will connect to the fog light switch on the dash, I just don't know where exactly the rest of the wiring harness is to connect my lights to. Is there a diagram that I can find that will show me where the other end of the wiring harness is in the engine compartment leading toward the front of my vehicle?

check voltage from brake switch to signal light switch, signal goes from brake pedal to signal switch then to taillights, i suspect the problem is in that area
Fog lamps are installed on the front bumper. The switch is located
to the left of the steering column on the dash panel. The fog lamps are
turned off by the circuit relay when the high beam driving lamps are
turned on. The circuit relay is located on the right front wheelhouse
panel near the blower motor.
Good luck, and remember rated this help.
Removal & InstallationFog Lamp Element See Figure 1
Fig. 1: Exploded view of a fog lamp assembly
Remove the lamp stone shields, the four bezel attaching screws, and the bezel.
Remove the reflector assembly from the lamp body.
Remove the bulb holder from the assembly. Remove the element from the bulb.
DO NOT handle elements with your bare hands, always handle with a
clean cloth. Oil from your hands will cause the element to fail.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
Fog Lamp Switch The fog lamp switch is removed and
installed by simply prying the switch from the instrument panel and
unplugging the electrical connector.
FOGLAMP BEAM ADJUSTMENT
Position the vehicle on a level surface, facing a wall
approximately 25 feet away. Remove the lamp stone shields and loosen
the adjustment nuts.
Turn the fog lamps ON and adjust as follows:
Distance between the light beam centers should be equal to the distance between the lamp assemblies on the bumper.
Height of the light beams on the wall should be 4 inches less than the center of the lamp assemblies when mounted on the bumper.
Install all previously removed items after turning OFF the fog lamps.
I have a simular problem. Only mine does not some on. I tried to replace the turn signal switch assembly with a used one. The replacement work ok on the fog lights but the rest was bad. As near as I can figure it, the switch assemble is not well made and had many ways to go bad. Either replace the whole assemble or wire in a bipass switch. I am going to go with a bipass switch. I don't trust the new jeep products.
Look under the dash near where the headlamp switch mounts and if yours is equipped you should see I think it is a blue 4 pin connector with the following wire colors OG,OG/WH,OG/GN,BK.
This is for the fog lamp relay. If yours has this connector then you will need to purchase a relay ford part number F6RZ-14N089-AA should list for about $10.
I bought the factory kit from Ebay. It came with clear instructions including the new headlight switch assembly that includes the fog light switch. I think it was under $150. Once installed, you have to see the dealer so they can program the computer to run the new lights.
hi from uk if you are meaning rear fog light/s ? they will be on the switch that has a picture of lamp with horizontal lines ? these will only work with headlight on also if you are meaning front drive/fogs then the same goes for these ie a similar switch near to lights switch or you may have to turn on h/lights then pull outwards the actual switch as on uk cars? the idea being if weather conditions req fogs then h/lights must be on also preventing driving on fogs only and no obligatory side/tail and h/lights here in uk hope this assists you locating switch ? wish you merry xmas
If the problem is that the brake lights will not turn off, the problem is most likely the CHMSL relay. An easy check is to take the cover off the fuse block mounted on the driver's side fender well and swap the fog lamp relay with the CHMSL relay. If that fixes it, just get a new relay for the fog lamps and you're good to go. Note, my 2002 s10 does not have fog lamps, but it still had the relay populated in the fuse block.
