I have a 2001 chevy 2500HD 4X4. It is equipped with 3 cigarette/adaptor plugs which I've been using with no problems. Well, I went to plug something in one of the slots and all of a sudden all 3 plugs stopped working. I've checked fuses, wires, ect...and still can't seem to find out why they stopped working..Please Help, I'm a Volunteer Fireman and I need these for my POV flashers. Please help!!!!!!!!!

t's possible that your 2001 2500HD model was not originally equipped with a fuel pressure sensor, and that the sensor was added later as part of a repair or upgrade. Some aftermarket fuel pumps come with a built-in fuel pressure sensor, which may be compatible with some but not all vehicle models.
If your truck doesn't have a corresponding plug for the fuel pressure sensor, you may need to install a compatible sensor or modify the wiring to connect the sensor to the vehicle's electrical system. This may require some knowledge of automotive electrical systems and wiring diagrams, and it's important to follow proper safety procedures and use the correct tools and equipment.
Alternatively, you may want to consult a mechanic or auto repair professional to help you with the installation or modification of the fuel pressure sensor,
IF IT IS A MANUAL TRANSFER USE DEXRON-III.
IF AUTOMATIC PUSHBUTTON USE GM TRANSFER CASE FLUID GM PART NO. 12378396, WHICH IS REDDISH COLORED OR NEWER OIL IS BLUISH COLORED GM PART NO. 12378508, WHICH HAS MORE FRICTION MODIFIERS.
WHILE YOU ARE DOING THE JOB, ALSO CHANGE THE DRAIN AND FILL PLUGS OUT TOO.
check fuses to see if blown or try another adaptor in the socket lighter to see if it works if it dooesnt then the fuse if it does work oh boy a long and wonderous journey awaits you i am only joking it could be serious but check fuses first its easier
fuel pump, I just replaced mine, you can tilt the bed up on the drivers side, remove the four bolts on the drivers side and loosen them on the passengers side. Using a hydraulic jack and several lengths of 4x4 and 2x6x6 blocks, carefully lift the bed. To make sure the 4x4 didn't slip, I drove a cut off bolt into one end and stuck that through a hole in the bed cross member infront of the read wheel. Watch the wires. The new fuel pump had to have the connector on the wiring harness replaced. The fuel pump is held in place with a rotating ring, this has a locking detend and removed easily. With a new seal, the ring is more diffiuclt to rotate to the fully closed position. 4 hours including soldering in the new connector. I recommend that you use solder and heat shrink instead of the butt connectors supplied with the fuel pump. The pump was $500 from GM and $275 from Auto Zone
Try and plug something else into your Jetta. If that doesn't work than find the fuse panel and locate your lighter plug fuse, might be more than one, and it might be listed as something other then a cigarette lighter plug, might be listed as acc plug or something like that.
Take your positive cable off battery and wait a few minutes..This resets the computer and takes it out of limp mode.Theres been a lot of problems in the dash so if you can find an auto zone and have them scan it They'll do it for free. But as far as the lights my truck does the same thing. Just flick your fingers on the buttons and they should flash..The plug in the back of buttons was loose..
