Im having a problem with my heat coming out of my vents..the air conditoning will come out of the vents but the heat will only come out of the defrost...the passenger side gets hot and the drivers side blows cold air

Try removing your a/c heat unit unplug it make sure all contacts are clean reconect an check, this has work for me on a few dodge vehicles with likely problem.
you might have two problems one might the thermostat and the second might be the heater core leaking causing no heat condition.but if you have air conditoning you might have a heater valve that is not working.or also the vent at the bottom of the heater box outside is plugged.
It sounds like you may have an air bubble in the system. Try disconnecting the highest heater hose and see if you can burp some air out of it. Is your coolant solution strong enough so it's not freezing up? Also before you disconnect the heater hose, feel it, is it warm? If the heater hoses are warm, then the problem could be with the heater
itself.
on the low side 35-40 psi. you really should charge by weight, then you KNOW its got the correct amount in. the way to partial charge is feel the inlet pipe and then the outlet, when the charge is full, they will be the same temp.
This may sound stupid but have you tried opening the vents up? Alternatively you will probabily have to bring it into to someone to look at your fan and air conditioning system altogether.
the unit were you turn on the fan leaks vacuum which causes the vents not to blow properly the unit is not expensive for it is plastic comes with fan switch ex..
have the water pump checked out, i had a van that did the same thing and founf i had a bad water pump it fixed the problem.also check the blower motor to make sure its working right by tapping on it while you have the car running. the car will survive dont worry its going to be one of those two things im pretty sure.
