This would be 1 possibility, can you hear the fuel pump whine or making a noise when you first turn on the key?
It should whine for a couple of seconds to pressurize the fule system then shut off until you try to start the engine. The best way to check is to connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail connector (looks like a tire valve stem) and the gauge screws onto this fitting. When you turn the key on you should see the pressure gauge read the pressure going to the fuel rail, when you start the engine you should see the pressure maintain pressure to keep the engine running. If not then the could mean that the fuel pressure is weak and would need replacing. Hope this helps

Losing prime to carb after warm up

Check the fuel pump pressure. IF this is heat related, it could also be a bad gasket causing a vacuum leak. The other thing could be the fuel line is getting too hot causing the gasoline to create a vapor lock.

Vehicle shuts off on the highway, and want start. but after two to five minutes it will start again, drive another twenty to thirty miles,it might shut off wiat another two to five minutes it will start...

you need to check this when it does not start fuel pressure at the fuel rail , spark at the plugs, power at the fuel injector wire that will tell you whats wrong . if there is no fuel pressure its a bad fuel pump swap the relay with another one to test it if still no pressure the pump is bad . if you have fuel pressure and wont start spray starting fluid in the throttle body see if it starts this tells you if its spark or fuel if it does not start its spark possible bad distributor or coil if it does start that means you have spark and with fuel it will run meaning your injectors are not firing = no power at injectors = bad crank sensor its 38.00 at auto parts stores driver side top of trans bell housing make sure you push and hold it down when tightening the bolt

Truck starts runs for a second shuts off .

The fuelpump is primed by the oil pressure switch. When the fuel pressure reaches normal PSI the computer shuts that pressure switch off and turns thepoweron to the fuelpump relay. You have a bad fuel pump relay

It won't start sounds like it's not getting gas?

turn the key on with everything quiet around you if you hear a buzzing sound (eletric motor running) for a couple of seconds, then the fuel pumps working!
there are crash switches that also go bad, they shut gas off in case of a crash, there is also a fuel pump relay switch, might be able to tap it and start the truck, if it starts while it's running tap it again if it stalls, there's your problem

1988 toyota pickup running rough

if you had a fuel pump problem before than you probably have a bad fuel filter also if not that then it could be the engine coolant temperature sensor

2.2 shuts off and fuel pump will not turn on

sounds like the "run" fuel pump relay is going bad. This truck should have two different fuel pump relays on it. One for the start cycle and one for run. They should be in the fuse block under the hood. I don't know which one it is though but you should be able to tell by feeling them while someone else cycles your keys on and off. Note that if the fuel pump has already pressurized the fuel line it may not kick on when you turn the key.
