Is the windshield washer motor located under or behind the engine of a 2006 Hyundai Sonata? Is this difficult to replace, or could the issue possibly be a fuse? I don't even hear the motor when trying to use the washer fluid, but wipers work.

Hi

To test washer motor gain access to it by following the filler neck to behind the front of the front guard, remove the plug that connects to the motor and get someone to activate the washer switch. If test lamp lights up = faulty washer pump, if no lights then check fuses. You can also run separate power to the pump by running "jumper" wires diredt from battery to pump.
NB = Do not touch these wires or you will cause dead short = melted wires / burnt hands.

2006 Hyundai Sonata. Windshield washer not working. Thought fluid was low. Can see fluid in fill tube. 105000 miles. Just bought it. Is this a difficult and costly repair?

Possibly the washer pump isn't working or the switch for it isn't working. It should be possible to unplug and straight wire the pump just to test it to see if it will operate is it gets power. A test light a the washer pump will tell you if it is getting power when the washer button is pressed.

Is your wiper fluid level good?Look for leaks at pump,it's connected to container, also check your hoses leaving pump to windshield, could be loose or binding.

Where is the water drain plug for a 2006 hyundai sonata?

Does this vehicle have a Sun/Moon Roof? The 'water pan' as you call it, is not equipped with a 'plug.' It's part of the Sun/Moon roof assy. the problem is most likely the drain tube (perhaps misrouted) from the roof to the outside of the vehicle (drain alley). The drain tubs are located behind the head-liner at 4 corners of the assy. Otherwise, the leak you describe is possibly being caused by a windshield leak.
