This is a pretty common issue for Trailblazers to have. Here's a link with more information about these GM gauge problems. And where you can purchase replacement parts on Amazon if you want to do the repair yourself.

I just noticed my speedometer is stuck @ 40 mph. It doesnt drop down when I shut down my vehicle? is this a sensor going out or what would be the recommended problem why it's doing this?

More likely is the sensor on the transmission either failed, or the wire came loose. You can check the wire by crawling under the vehicle, looking at the transmission, and you should see a sensor with a couple of wires coming off of it. Check the connector to see if it's secure. If so, it's probably the sensor. If it's loose, put it back on and check it again. Hope this helps you out.

The speedometer on my 2004 Pontiac Montana quit working. Is there a fuse for that?

Nope. The speedometer needs a signal from the vehicle speed sensor to operate. Is the check engine light on? If so, scan for any codes that may indicate a VSS problem. If no codes, possible internal cluster issue with the speedometer head

Gas gauge doesnt work

Yes the gauges are on a fuse marked gauges.
I think that fuse is in the interior box, could be in the glove compartment, under the instrument panel, or on either end of the dash where the door closes. Your owner's manual should help you there.

Gauges on dashboard quit working

I would suggest you remove the dash light dimmer control rheostat (In most cases part of the main headlight switch) and test it for continuity, I think it may be defective, please perform the testing before replacing any parts.

My fuel gauge tach gauge speedometer heater temp gauge and driver power seat quit working

check the fuses. they are under the back seat just pull up on the lower part of the back seat and it will come out. fuse box is on the drivers side. check to see if water is getting in that could be the cause.

I have a 2004 golf and my speedometer and odometer quit. At first I thought it was just somethign wrong with my locks because my remote didn't work so I looked at all the fuses and nothign seems to be...

SPEEDOMETER AND ODOMETER ISSUES COULD LIE IN THE SPEED SENSOR,,WHICH IS COVERED IN TIN FOIL STYLE WRAP ON TOP OF THE ****** .IN BACK OF MOTOR.YOU MAY TAKE THE AIRBOX OUT OF THE WAY TO GAIN BETTER ACCSESS TO IT.IVE SEEN THE CONTACTS GET CORRODED TRY TO CLEAN FIRST,THEN MAYBE REPLACE IF NEEDED.

Fule gauge speedometer and rpm gauges stopped

Go to the fuse box and change the fuse for "Gauges". I think this might solve the problem.

Dashboard gauges dont work, 1998 dodge caravan

These vehicles seem to have a problematic short, my grandfather has the same vehicle with the same problem, i found the short under the carpet on the driver side of the vehicle, under the gas pedal, sometimes wires can crack and break.

Speedometer, Odometer, Oil Pressure Gauges are out

it could be a fuse....since a fuse is use just incase you get an overflow in current...and this prevents damage to gauges......

yeah check it first.....
