Turn on lights to low beam,test wire plug at headlight with test light,if you have power replace lights,if no power ,check for out going power at head light switch,if no power replace switch,if you do have power replace multi fuction switch

Low beans don't work som times.. higt beans don't work they only work if I pull back on the suich


it can only be 2 things
1: bad combo switch (light switches in steering cluster)
2: bad wiring.
this assumes the car does not have DRL.
day light running lights.
i simple tool called a voltmeter finds this fault easy.
do yo have one?

Low bean won't come on, on a 1998 chevy truck. fuse all good, don't know if it has one of those round limer switch or not - help


Check dimmer switch, replace if needed,'

Check light sockets and wires, replace as needed.

Check for relay if applicable.
