The air filter box and intake tube need to be replaced on my 90 buick century 3.3L V6 and I was wondering if a Spectre universal intake tube and filter would work and would I need any sort or mounting hardware for it to sit in the engine proplerly or not?

On the driver's side of the engine compartment, to the rear of the air filter/air intake box, is an air conditioner line with a fitting pointed straight up.
It is about 6" below the top of the air filter box.
* DO-NOT ... UN-PLUG or REMOVE ANY ELECTRICAL SENSORS or WIRES FROM ANY PART OF YOUR ENGINE or CAR, WITH-OUT- (FIRST) DISCONECTING THE (-) NEG - CABLE OF THE CAR BATTERY!!!!
IF YOU DO-NOT, YOU RUN A VERY HIGH RISK OF DAMAGING THE SENSOR AND ALSO OTHER ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS ON YOUR CAR.
AFTER, YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE SENSONS AND OR ELECTRONICS SYSTEMS, THEN & ONLY THEN RECONECT THE (-) NEG - CABLE BACK ON TO THE BATTERY.
***** SAVE YOURSELF --- LOTS OF $$$$$$ & HEADACHES ! ***** GOOD - LUCK!!!
Carefully check all hoses & clamps. If leak/seepage not found then check for leak along the intake manifold - the manifold gasket could be leaking and this is quite common.
air filter is located in a 'black box' connected by a flexible tube to the intake on engine.spring loaded wire clips at the sides of the box clamp the lid in place.release clips, lift lid to access filter.
Changing an air filter is generally an easy task to perform. Pop your hood and look for the air intake tube. This tube (sometimes more of a labrynth) runs from your throttle body to the "air-box". You can locate the throttle body by having an assistant push and release the gas pedal (while car is off) while you look for moving parts under the hood. The mechanism that moves when the pedal is depressed is the throttle body. Now trace the intake tube (large tube/hose) from the throttle body down to the air-box. The air filter will be located within the air-box. The box usually has a series of clamps that hold a cover in place. Release all of the clamps and lift open the cover to expose the air filter. The air filter should just be sitting in the air box - should be easily removed by lifting the filter element upwards. The new filter should simply drop in place of the old one. Reclamp the cover and you're good to go!.
