I have 2001 isuzu rodeo that the four wheel drive will not engage when the button is pushed. All I hear is a clicking and the four wheel light blinking. Any thoughts?

post 3 and still the part you state is named wrong.
my best guess, is the
front alxe lock, up, device. with 2 lines
is that it.
?????
there are only 2 ways, 2 lines
is it so hard to try both ways, on 2 solenoids?
There are 2 models here the push button will flash if the system is not engaging or disengaging properly . If front drive shaft is turning. That is with car raised and supported . if front drive axles do not turn then the axle actuator is not engaging axle shaft passenger side. Remove actuator and manually engage shifting collar with a screwdriver still does not turn then inner axle is twisted.
Does yours have AUTO hubs, there are some luxory models have auto hubs, these rely on difference in drive on the axles,(wheel spin) others have manual locking hubs, these actually need to be engaged manually, these require you to twist the centre of the hub to engage and disengage the front hubs, these sometimes require you to reverse to disengage properly, Rodeo had both depending on model. Happy New Year
make sure your in nutural, or park then if you have hub locks turn them to locking position. then shift small shifter if available into 4 wheel low or high. or may have just a push button to engauge. then shift into low or high. then you may use your regular stick to shift or just shift into drive w automatic.
