Indicators on my Subaru flash fast when I apply the brakes

The right hand side indicators on my 1998 Subaru 250T flash fast when I apply the brakes. I failed my warrant of fitness and the guy said its a problem with the earth wire. someone else told me I simply need to change the indicator bulb. What would you recommend?

Dear Martin,
You have a bad, a burned out, or a poorly grounded light bulb on the right hand side, but you will need to see if it is the front or the rear.
A new bulb or a repair to the socket to correct a bad ground should fix you right up.
God bless your efforts.

What does it mean when the vehicle's dashboard lights are saying that the ABS light is on, the AT Oil Temp light is on, and the dashboard brake light is flashing?

It is telling you, you need to visit a mechanic, and fast.

ABS light may just be brake fluid, so you could locate that under the hood and check.

Automatic Transmission fluid may be low and is overheating because of low oil level. Make sure you pull the right dipstick, as it looks remarkably similar to the engine oil dipstick.

Brake light could be worn pads as many have wear indicators.

Indicators flashing fast

Think you have disturbed the earth connection to the light cluster, clean the earth or run a new earth, should cure the problem.

Have a look at your relay and fuses. But you may not apply DIY method because this needs an expert hands-on. Needs to trace where the wires were wrongly connected.
