My P Reg Nissan Micra Automatic wont start. It was working fine until today. I put the key (it has an immobiliser) into the ignition turn it. The dashboard lights come on as expected. The engine starts turning but then the engine judder slightly. If I press the accelerator it feels more like it is going to start but wont.
Sounds like a fuel issue if you have run it dry, maybe a blocked fuel filter, or maybe it needs new spark plugs, check the air filter as well.

disconnect connector and see if you have power when you hit the brake pedal if not you will need to trace it back until you find the power. Most likely a fuse

Is there a clicking sound? The first thing that I would check is to make sure that the starter motor is getting voltage. If it is getting voltage then I would say that the motor is bad and needs to be replaced. If it is not getting voltage then it could be a bad fuse, relay, or a bad ground. All of these are probabilities. The last thing that I would check for is a bad ignition switch especially since the accessories come on.
