Because your battery has enough power to run dash lights and a radio doesn't mean that it has nearly enough amps to start your car. First, have the battery checked at Autozone or some such that will do it free, and, if it comes up okay, then consider starter solenoid problems, or ignition key problems. I would bet on the battery.Because your battery has enough power to run dash lights and a radio doesn't mean that it has nearly enough amps to start your car. sounds like your security system failed.. its real common in gm's. I have had the same issue with one of my cars..you can bypass it. this is how I fixed it.. pretty simple.. and I have to say I have had it in my car for 5 years and haven't had an issue since.. hope it helps
Hi eyansdaddy, Sounds like a bad connection on the battery , check the earth cable on the battery and the one that earths the engine to the bodywork (at the bottom of the engine) if there worn or frayed it can stop the engine from starting. all the best Scott
I'd have battery tested at any local parts store and clean battery cables - especially the bottom ends. The bottom ends are exposed to grease and road grime and are more susceptible to resistance.
