sounds like heater core went out or is stopped up. Is the floorboard wet on either side of the car? Either flush the system with a cheap kit for about $25 or look at getting a new heater core. Usually these are behind the dash but usually easy to get to.
Have a pressure test done on your cooling system, you sound like you could have a leak in your system or your system just needs to have the air bled from it. Check your coolant level also, with air in the system and not enough coolant it will blow cold and cause overheating.
Couple of things could be happening... 1. Losing radiator fluid-crack in radiator, leaking hose. 2. Thermostat is stuck, going bad, installed upside down. 3. Radiator needs to be flushed/re-cored. 4. Engine cooling passages are plugged up. 5. Fan too small or cheap aluminum flex fan installed.
The AC refrigerant pressure sensor is located under the air cleaner housing. It can be serviced by putting the vehicle on a lift and removing the air baffle. Then it can be reached from underneath.
if its roaring reallly loud with the fan on high you might have a plugged cabin air filter,its behind the glove box,you should be able to pick one up at a local parts store,hope this helps
