Check Engine light going on for a '98 Civic Hatchback

I have a 1998 Honda Civic hatchback. Today, the check engine light turned on and it won't go off. What does that mean? Can I still drive the car? Thanks.

Well, go to Auto Zone and have them read the error code it is setting. They'll tell you what the issue is. Usually, if it's not running hot and the oil light is not coming one, you can drive it for a while. It could be something you need to have repaired, though, or it may cause more damage.

My service engine light comes on after I have been driving for 20 or 30 minutes goes through cycle again after stopping and turn key off 93 Honda civic hatchback DX

If the car shuts down after the service engine lights on, possible problem is the igniter on your ignition coil. You have to replace the igniter. I had the same problem before with my esi 93 and honda car shop fixed it by replacing the said part. It is better to have the code scanned first. If it gives you 1 long flash followed by 5 short flashes, definitely it is the igniter.

My 1990 honda civic hatchback wont start...

It could be a problem with either starter if it won't turn over, the wiring to the starter, or it could be related to the fuel or spark delivery when turning over if the starter does turn the engine over.

95 honda civic hatchback wont start

Did you hooks the the spark plug wires right. If these are not in the right order then you will have a misfire. If enough of them are out of place then you wont have enough fire to start the engine.

I have a 1990 honda civic hatchback si with an 89 ZC DOHC black top engine.. the rear motor mount is cracked and each time i down shift the engine raddles.. how do i change out the mount? and if possible.....

You will need something to lift the engine so that you can take the pressure off of the mount. It sounds like your fuel pump may be wearing out and it is not responding like it should...The pump on the gas tank should be located on the top of the tank....Under the back seat....

Reverse parking light wire color coding for Honda civic 02

Check the wires with the car in reverse and the key turned on, use a meter. On cars the black is usually the ground but you need to check to be sure.
