What will make a car just cut off while your driving.......for about two minutes.....then it will start back up again and take you down the road like everything is cool........and sometimes it will cut off and then right back on in like 2 seconds with you touching anything......and it continues down the road like everything is perfectly o.k.

Try getting your transmission solenoid replaced. After I got mine replaced it ran fine after that. That's the exact same thing my Lumina was doing.

cheap fix .....crank sensor is bad $60 bucks

if its been a while change the fuel filter and then have the fuel pressure and volume checked.these symptoms are very common for a fuel pump problem.

could be vapor lock in a fuel line. check all heat sheilds on the exhaust system. good luck. hope this helps.

Try replacing the fuel filter.

you need to check either your fuel pump or ignition coil.

This can cause your problem if the cat is plugged and cant exhaust it will shut the motor down

have them check the ignition !!!

I had a 1990 Cutlass that did the same thing. It would turn over but not start when it got hot too or just cut out on me right on the road. I had it in the shop 2x's , thought it was fixed and got it out of the shop only to have it die later that night in the pitch dark. I had it towed back to the shop , they let it run , hoping it would cut out and it did. It was the ignition.. when it would overheat it would just shut off the car ... you couldn't start it peroid! Like you said 20 to 30 minutes later when it cooled down the car would start back up just fine ... then you'd drive it , it would heat back up, the car wouldn't start again for another 20 to 30 minutes !

that would probalbly fuel filter or a blockage in the tank

buy a couple bottles of gasline antifreeze and put them in the tank and try it again.
