Even though it's a manual trans it probably takes automatic trans fluid. It should tell you in the owners manual, if they only give you the Mitsubishi part number a auto parts store should be able to tell what that number crosses to.

What type of transmission fluid is for lancer 96 1.3cc automatic transmission ?

You have a few options but there are some that will convert Regular ATF if you add the "FRICTION MODIFIER". The IMPORT Fluid will say it on the Bottle, If your Transmission is a CVT Transmission (you have the smaller engine), then you need to get to the dealer. But normally the Import will say the Proper Fluid on the Bottle.

My Mitsubishi Lancer 2002.I have a problem with the Transmission its slips when i accelerate the engine power.

Do you have a manual or automatic transmission?

Autimatic transmission: I would start first by checking the fluid level. I'm not familiar with your exact transmission, but for most cars, you should check the level with the engine running. While you're checking the fluid level (assuming it is full) check the color and smell of the fluid. It should not look or smell burned. If it does, take it in to a transmission shop to have it checked out.

Manual Transmission: This could be a couple different things but more than likely your clitch is worn out or in need of adjustment.

In both instances, either manual or automatic, you should take the car in to a transmission shop to have it fixed before it gets worse and costs more to repair.

Hi, I need to know when I need to change the transmission fluid in my car Mitsubishi Lancer 2008, automatic. My car has 41,000 km. Thank,Romy

The owners manual says nothing about ATF change intervals. The warranty manual says check it regularly. In the severe service section of the warranty manual it says for severe duty change it at 30,000 miles(48,000 kilometers). I would consider changing the ATF no later than 50,000 miles(80,000 kilometers). Mitsubishi cars use there own Diamond ATF SP III. If you do not change it by 60,000 to 70,000 miles (96,000 to 113,000 kilometers) the transmission may start to act funny when shifting. Regular changes will keep you from experiencing this problem. Be sure to use genuine Mitsubishi Diamond ATF SP III or a synthetic equivalent.

Where do i put the transmission fluid on a 2002 lancer es

you can't put the transmission fluid in yourself on an auto or manual transmission for a 2002 lancer es. It has to be injected into the transmission through a nipple that is on the transmission.

02 lancer

Most cars you top up the trans fluid through the stem that the dip stick for the transmission goes into.

hope this is helpful.
