I have a short in my steering because every time i turn left or right it cuts out.How do i fix my problem?

May be a shorting wire on the left be trapped and shorting out get someone to turn steering wheel while you check for trapped wires?

Did the key work before ? If so it is u need a new key cut put key in and turn and hold it there while turning steering wheel left &right quickly it will go but this is a quick fix don't rely on it

dear . you need to replace cable between steering and steering col um . around cable can be fix after you check the turn to right and left should be same .check all fuse . ( this cable cut out and connect to ground now

yea the air bag would be a problem in fixing this but it is your horn switch in the stering wheel that needs replaced

it could be the axle pushed back on one side. i don't think that is it though.the steering box most of the time jumps time. if it did it will turn say 4 turns one way and like 2 turn the other way from center.change steering box it will fix the problem!

Will it kill or cut off the motor, if you turn the wheel left/right siting still or is it only while your moving?

Check the ground I think there are two grounding straps on your motor make sure they good un bolt them and clean real well.

"Its finally fixed!! The problem i had with my jeep cutting off when i turned right was... the steering column... yeah never would have guessed... buddy up at nissan said chevys had a problem with it and i probly did to... just enough torque on the column turning right for my little ignition rod to pull away and turn it off... started my jeep... pulled hard on the steering wheels and WAM!! it cut off... I jsut thought my tilt was broke but he says theres bolts in the that come loose and need to be tightened... tilt and cutting off with be fixed!"

check your wiring harness from the ignition and continues throgh the steering column it might be shorting out ... Also look under the hood to see if any wiring harness is binding when turning right (on the steering linkage)

you have a short in the wireing fix it fast before you have a "fire"

There is a short in the wirng, The dealer is going to have to trace the wirng harness to find the short. The problem is the short could be anywhere. The time to find the short could be hard.

CHECK THE CUT OF THE KEY. IF WORN REPLACE KEY WITH FRESH CUT. MAKE SURE BATTERY FULLY CHARGED
