Rover 400 immobilised and I cant over ride it with my code!!

I have a rover 400 td and my key fob has stopped working. I have justr changes my starter motor and the car has imobilised itself as the engine was disconnected. I am now entering the code to over ride it via the drivers door but it will not work. Is there any way I can over ride the immobiler or disable it at all? Any help would be amazing thanks.

My second hand 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander immobiliser fob has stopped working and i can no longer start my engine. I only have one immobiliser fob and one non-remote/buttonless engine key.

The immobiliser works with a chip in the fob. This is a signalling device which, via a pick-up situated around the ignition lock, sends the signal to the engine computor which the allows the engine to be started.

CAR WONT TURNOVER AND START

Immobiliser fob battery dead? Battery flat? Corroded battery or earth terminals? Dead starter motor or relay? Engine seized (will it bump start if manual?)?

You need to describe what happens when you turn the key.

Key fob would not open 1995 discovery ,used key in door then alarm went off ,after a few seconds alarm ceased then put key in to start engine and got nothing now cant lock doors with key but red light is...

The red light means the Immobiliser has not been turned off, the deactivator in the key must not be working correctly, visit your local land rover dealer who will be able to make sure the key is paired to the car correctly, otherwise you may need a new key.
